Porch Play

I am linking this tablescape to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch, Tablescape Thursday http://betweennapsontheporch.net/your-beautiful-summertime-tablescapes-the-205th-tablescape-thursday/

Last evening I threw together a quick simple table on the screen porch.  I mixed my Polish Pottery with rooster plates and added a little red and black to the table.  There is not a lot going on in the table but just enough to make it useable and darling.  Viewing this pictures has got me thinking I need something hanging on that brick wall.

French coffe sounds good right about now.

A friend gave me this rooster and he has made his rounds about the house.  The potted geraniums on the porch are suffering from neglect.

Red bamboo place mats.  From the huge basket of napkins I own, not one set of white napkins.  This setting screams for white.  Yellow will have to do.  On the upside, they do match the chair coverings.

I covet this Polish pottery plate.  I only have four.   I buy them at TJMaxx and Marshall and Home Goods, but have only found plates twice.  I should have bought them all when I had the opportunity.

This table would be a nice setting for an appetizer, glass of wine, dessert and French coffee.

Splash of color in the corner with the flowers.

I love the sound of windchimes.  After viewing pictures of porches with the blue ceiling, I'm pondering the idea for my porch.

I read and appreciate all comments.  Thanks for popping in.
Linda

  3. First of all I love your table and chairs. Did you do the painting? The rooster dishes are fantastic. I love to eat on the deck when the weather allows. How do you put reply on your post?

    1. Thanks for commenting. The chairs came out from the kitchen. It's a set that I bought along with the house. I bought some of the existing furniture with this house, since I liked its French country feel. The table I bought through Craig's List. Supposedly Italian.

  4. Whimsical roosters plates with the black and white polish plates are perfect. I love your porch with the checked chairs and table. I understand the idea of wishing you had bought more plates for they are so pretty. Please pop over to view my GW finds used in a tablescape!

    Thanks, Pam

  8. I love your tablescape and what a nice setting. I like setting tables out in the porch but it is too hot here right now. You know I love your Polish pottery. I know the dinner plates come scarce at TJ Maxx, HG or Marshalls. I hope you find some more.Mine all come in different pattern because I can never find 8 in a single pattern but good thing we can mix and max them. Thanks for stopping by. I got my green sparkly plate chargers from Ebay about 3 to 4 years ago...Christine
